2017 ClubGRANTS

We are pleased to announce that the 2017 ClubGRANTS Category 1 funding round opens Monday 13th February 2017 and closes Friday 5th May 2017 for the Wollongong LGA, if your service is located outside of this area please contact your local council for information.

 

For organizations not familiar with the program we have attached an information sheet as well as providing below a brief background summary.

 

Only online applications are accepted as paper applications are no longer permitted. To applyyou must have an email address and to register please open the following link https://ClubGRANTS-Wollongong-City-Council.smartygrants.com.au/2017category1

 

 

There is no limit to the number of applications permissible however applications submitted after the closing date or sent directly to the clubs will not be accepted as they must be lodged online prior to the closing date. Once the funding  round closes a copy of your application will be forwarded to each participating club.

 

We are hosting a free ClubGRANTS information workshop to assist organizations with the program’s funding objectives and online application process and we encourage you to attend.the workshop details are as follows:-

ClubGRANTS Program Summary Information:

 

The ClubGRANTS Scheme is a shared State Government\Club Industry Program funded by a gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government from those registered Clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million per annum. Projects in the following categories could qualify for Category 1 funding:- Community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people. The following local priorities have been established for the Wollongong Local Government Area:

 

  • Projects that have a ‘group’ benefit.
  • Children’s Programs 0 – 11
  • Programs for young people 12 – 24 years, especially those that assist unemployed or marginalised young people and those that live in areas with higher levels of disadvantage.
  • Programs for the Aged
  • Programs for Persons with a Disability
  • Multicultural Programs
  • Education programs including prevention projects that have a positive impact on crime reduction strategies especially those linked to alcohol, gambling and related crime.
  • Projects that have a wider community benefit/build capacity.
